Head of Marketing

Role

Over the past 4 years Bridgeall has developed smartcrowds, a B2B Cloud-hosted Innovation Management platform that addresses the 360˚ challenge of organisational innovation.  We are a new challenger brand in an existing market with experienced competition.

The solution has attracted early stage customers across 5 sectors including a major city council and an aerospace organisation.

We are now seeking an ambitious senior marketing person who will lead all marketing activities for the smartcrowds brand and deliver growth.

You will plan and deliver a marketing machine across multiple channels and you will be targeted on delivering sale qualified leads for which you will earn commission as well as for closed won sales. The ethos here is that marketing is ultimately measured in sales won and if you don’t subscribe to that then this one isn’t for you.

Whilst all marketing channels will be important we envisage that digital marketing to generate inbound leads will be the most significant so prior successful experience of this is absolutely key.

Location

Based at Bridgeall’s offices in the centre of Glasgow.  

Essential Job Functions

  • Full responsibility for developing the marketing strategy and vision for smartcrowds
  • Responsible for executing the marketing strategy to deliver growth
  • Lead the refinement and development of the value proposition
  • Development and implementation of multi-channel campaigns to deliver business growth, this includes acquisition, conversion, retention via both organic and paid media.
  • Including but not limited to website, case studies, partnerships, internal events, external events webinars, newsletter
  • Responsible for writing all marketing content
  • Responsible for managing all marketing data
  • Manage internal demand generation person
  • Manage SEO provider
  • Manage PR provider (as appropriate)

General Requirements

  • 10 years marketing experience including a minimum of 5 years in a senior marketing role
  • Marketing Degree, digital marketing, or CIM qualifications
  • Proven experience of building all or a significant element of a marketing machine that has delivered quantifiable sales within a B2B environment
  • Proven B2B digital marketing experience
  • Intellectually able to understand complex material and articulate the benefits 
  • Analytical in approach with a passion and curiosity for insight
  • Fluent and confident communicator
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent content writing skills
  • Enough knowledge of SEO in order to select, manage and monitor the performance a of a specialist SEO provider
  • You will have demonstrable expertise in creating and managing engaging online campaigns, along with experience of delivering a compelling social media strategy
  • Good knowledge of Google Ads and other online B2B catalogues
  • Proven ability to perform successfully given low oversight and limited process
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, confident, independent and strong attention to detail
  • Embraces the challenges of working in an early stage business with broad responsibilities, a dynamic environment and a busy diary
  • Experience in managing external agencies from briefing to execution

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Role

Bridgeall is looking for a motivated and talented Sales Development Representative to join our growing smartcrowds product team. Your primary responsibility is to help identify, nurture and turn smartcrowds leads into qualified opportunities by partnering with marketing and sales to create and execute on program and outbound lead generation campaigns. This position requires heavy outbound phone calling, qualification, consultative selling skills and tight collaboration with the smartcrowds Business Development Managers to generate new opportunities. The SDR will be expected to report on qualification and call activity and stay thoroughly informed on all smartcrowds products and the innovation space in general. This is not a silo position. We want a collaborative and energetic individual that can contribute to the sales and marketing teams, work in a dynamic environment, deliver messaging and product feedback back into the marketing and product teams and work proactively to drive overall sales performance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop Tele prospecting Qualified Leads (TQLs) for the Sales Team from prospecting activities
  • Develop and execute on a strong prospecting plan of attack, including email and call scripts
  • Promote smartcrowds through extensive and persistent cold calling, emails, LinkedIn InMail and other communication(s) to prospective clients
  • Research and identify additional leads/prospects through use of smartcrowds data tools (ZoomInfo, SalesNavigator,
  • LeadIRO and any other tools that are relevant) and the smartcrowds existing prospect database
  • Consistently achieve TQL quotas to ensure territory revenue objectives
  • Create and manage prospecting campaigns and associated data using ActiveDemand
  • Accurately track and report on prospecting status, activities and pipeline status on a weekly basis
  • Maintain all contacts/opportunities and record all progress in the smartcrowds CRM system (Pipedrive)
  • Work with the Sales Team to grow specific sales territories and support the acquisition of new accounts
  • Help as needed to build awareness on special projects / events
  • Meet or exceed an assigned quota of calls / emails per day
  • Quickly learn the smartcrowds product, effectively communicate the value proposition and be able to react to objections and competitive questions

General Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of proven excellence in a sales development representative role
  • Experience using Pipedrive (or equivalent) and ActiveDemand (or equivalent) is essential
  • Experience building prospecting lists using research and data tools such as Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo is essential
  • Strong understanding of SDR and lead development best practices and procedures
  • Proven ability to perform successfully given low oversight and limited process
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, confident, independent and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to pinpoint customer pain points and accurately assess the transactional value for both the company and customer.
